Add a delivery fee amount that will help you cover the cost of your route including gas, insurance, employee costs and more. For each route, you can set a different delivery fee, but for each individual route, the delivery fee is the same for all the customers on the route. So, if you have a route with 10 orders today with a fee of $5, you will receive a total of $50 in fees at the end of the day. Keep in mind, Navore adds a $4 delivery service fee for customers on top of the 6.5% order total customer service fee. For this reason, we recommend trying to keep the delivery fee within a reasonable range to encourage more orders and instead increase the minimum order value (MOV) to balance out the cost of deliveries.
Delivery fees are especially helpful for a new route that only has a few deliveries. You may decide to change it or remove it once this route has a larger quantity of orders, but that is totally up to you!
Lastly, you can add a minimum purchase amount for a FREE delivery for each route. Use this tool to encourage customers to buy more products. For example, if customers usually order about $50 of products on this route, try adding a minimum purchase amount of $75-$100. You’d be surprised how many customers will buy more products just to avoid paying a delivery fee.
